Phone number pricing FAQ
How much does a phone number cost?
Pricing has two parts: a fixed monthly rental for the number and a per-minute rate on the inbound calls it receives. The exact figures depend on the country and number type. In the Netherlands, for example, local, mobile, and national numbers start from $3.00/month with inbound from $0.0100/minute, and toll-free numbers start from $10.00/month with inbound from $0.1800/minute. Pick your country in the table above for exact rates.
What is the difference between local, mobile, national, and toll-free numbers?
A local number is a geographic DID tied to a city or area code. A mobile number uses a mobile range where supported. A national number is non-geographic and covers a whole country. A toll-free number lets your customers call you at no cost to them, and carries a higher monthly rental and inbound rate in return.
Who pays for calls to a toll-free number?
With a toll-free number, you pay for the inbound calls and the caller pays nothing. This is known as reverse billing: the cost sits with the business that owns the number. It is what makes toll-free numbers effective for customer-facing support and sales lines, since there is no barrier to people calling you.
Are toll-free numbers free for callers abroad?
Usually not. Toll-free numbers are country-specific and are set up to be free only within the country where they are issued. Callers from other countries may be blocked or charged standard international rates by their own carrier. If you need to stay reachable across borders, a local or national number in each market is often the more reliable choice.
What is a DID number?
A DID (Direct Inward Dialing) number is a phone number that routes incoming calls straight to your system over the internet, without a separate physical line for each number. Local, mobile, and national numbers on didlogic are all DIDs. You can hold as many as you need and point each one wherever your calls should land.
Do I pay for incoming calls on a local or mobile number?
Yes. Every number is billed as a monthly rental plus a per-minute rate on the calls it receives, shown next to each type in the table above. Outbound calls placed from the number are billed separately at didlogic voice rates.
Can I port my existing number to didlogic?
Yes. You can port eligible numbers to didlogic and keep them running on our network, so you do not lose the numbers your customers already know. Requirements and timelines depend on the country and your current provider, and your number keeps working until the switch is final.
How long does number porting take?
It depends on the country and your current provider, since each one has its own release process. We confirm the expected timeframe for your specific numbers before the port begins, and the number stays live throughout, so there is no gap in service.
How do I get a phone number for my business?
Create a didlogic account, pick the country and number type you need, and connect the number to your platform once your account is verified. You can add more numbers at any time from the same account.
Do rates get cheaper at higher volume?
Yes. Your account level sets your per-minute rate tier, and higher inbound volume moves you into better rates automatically. See account levels for how the tiers work.
Can I connect the number to my AI voice or SIP platform?
Yes. Numbers work over SIP and connect to your own voice stack, softswitch, or AI voice platform. Point the number at your endpoint and inbound calls route straight through, which is how teams attach didlogic numbers to voice agents and call flows.
