CALLER ID

Call with a business number customers recognise

You do not need to purchase a didlogic number simply to make outbound calls.

For routes that support caller-ID presentation, you can submit a business number you already control for verification. You can also add an eligible didlogic virtual number when you need local caller ID or a number customers can call back.

Where supported, the same approved number can be used for outbound presentation and inbound callbacks.

Caller-ID availability depends on the destination, route, number type, documents, and intended use.

FAQ: Outbound voice

What is an outbound voice service?

An outbound voice service carries calls initiated by your PBX, contact center, dialer, communications platform, or AI voice agent to fixed and mobile telephone networks.

Your system controls the call. didlogic provides the SIP and carrier connectivity that connects it to the public telephone network.

What is the difference between inbound and outbound calling?

An outbound call begins in your business system and is placed to a customer or another external number. An inbound call begins when someone calls a phone number assigned to your business.

didlogic outbound voice handles outgoing calls. To receive calls, add a virtual phone number and configure where incoming calls should be routed.

Is outbound voice the same as SIP trunking or SIP termination?

They are closely related, but they describe different parts of the service.

A SIP trunk is the connection between your communications system and didlogic. SIP termination is the routing of an outbound call from that connection to the public telephone network. Outbound voice is the customer-facing service that brings these capabilities together.
