didlogic is now a Vapi technology partner

We are pleased to announce that didlogic is now listed in the Vapi Partner Directory as a Technology Partner in the Telephony and CPaaS category.

Vapi is one of the platforms teams reach for when they move voice agents from prototype to production. The company recently passed a billion calls handled and closed a $50 million Series B. The agents built on it still need phone numbers and a carrier to carry the calls. That is the layer didlogic provides.

Where didlogic sits in the directory

The Vapi directory currently lists 30 partners across models, speech, infrastructure, and services, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS, Microsoft Azure, ElevenLabs, Deepgram, and Groq.

Three of those partners are telephony and CPaaS providers: Twilio, Telnyx, and didlogic.

For teams evaluating where their Vapi calls should actually run, that shortlist is the practical starting point. We are glad to be on it, and we think the reason we belong there is the part of the stack we deliberately do not build.

The division of labor

Vapi manages the assistant: conversation logic, models, tools, workflows, testing, and observability.

didlogic manages the call: number provisioning, SIP connectivity, carrier routing, and the connection to the public telephone network.

Through Vapi’s Bring Your Own SIP Trunk configuration, the two connect directly. You import your didlogic numbers into Vapi and point a byo-sip-trunk credential at a didlogic gateway. Inbound calls to those numbers reach your assigned Vapi assistant. Outbound calls placed from Vapi are carried over the didlogic network with your own number as the caller ID.

Vapi’s documentation covers four trunk configurations by name, three named providers and a Custom BYO SIP Trunk option for any provider implementing standard SIP. didlogic connects through the Custom BYO path. Our trunks meet the requirements in that specification: UDP and TLS signaling, G.711, username and password authentication, SRTP, custom SIP header pass-through, and SIP REFER for transfers.

Why teams bring their own trunk

Vapi is carrier-agnostic by design, and that design choice is worth using. Four reasons teams move to their own trunk once traffic becomes real:

Coverage. Free platform numbers are US only. Any production deployment outside North America runs on a bring-your-own trunk. didlogic sells local and toll-free numbers in 140+ countries, provisioned from the portal in seconds.

Cost structure. Bundled telephony carries a markup on wholesale termination, and often a charge per concurrent channel. didlogic bills per number and per minute. No per-channel fees, no seat licenses, no tier gate on CPS for AI-native accounts.

Control of the path. didlogic runs its own network under AS13006 with 12 physical points of presence and direct carrier connections. That means routing, capacity, latency, and troubleshooting are things we can actually change when you ask, rather than escalate to someone else’s support queue.

Neutrality. didlogic sells voice infrastructure and nothing else. We do not build an agent platform, and we are not going to. Several SIP providers in this market also sell orchestration, which puts them in competition with the platform you chose for its model flexibility. We stay underneath it.

What the setup looks like

Three steps, and a test call usually goes through within ten minutes of finishing them.

1. Buy a number. Pick a local or toll-free number in the didlogic portal.
2. Create SIP credentials. Set a SIP account name and password, and select one of your numbers as the caller ID.
3. Connect in Vapi. Add a SIP trunk pointed at the didlogic gateway nearest to Vapi’s signaling servers, with username and password authentication. Vapi recommends credential-based auth over IP-based on shared gateways, and so do we. Then import your number against that trunk.
